Overview
Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery (SDLG), founded in 1972, is a top company in building construction machines. They make over 100 different products, mainly loaders, excavators, and pavement machines. SDLG is known for its high-quality products, which have earned many awards, including China’s Top 100 Machinery Companies and the National Quality Award. The company is recognized for its technology and strong reputation in the industry.
SDLG & VOLVO Partnership
Since 2006, SDLG has partnered with Volvo CE to enhance the competitiveness of SDLG excavators and to capture a growing market of mid-tier users. In 2008, Volvo CE made the strategic decision to transition its BLC excavator series to the SDLG brand. To further strengthen this collaboration, a dedicated technology center was established in Jinan, approximately 280 km from Linyi (SDLG’s main production base) by 2014.
Through over two years of joint efforts, SDLG successfully acquired the full BLC-series technology from Volvo and gained access to Volvo CE’s global components purchasing system.
In 2010, SDLG launched its full range of medium-sized excavators, marking a significant milestone in expanding its product offerings.
By 2014, SDLG’s annual sales volume had doubled that of Volvo in the Chinese market, reflecting the strong demand for SDLG products and the success of the partnership.
